December Board Meeting and Local Officer Training School

The Board of Directors will meet on December 5th at 10:00 am in Little Rock for its final meeting of 2009. A Local Officer Training School (LOTS) will also be held in conjunction with this meeting for incoming 2010 officers.

At this Board Meeting, amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws will be considered, including a proposed increase in the amount of dues payed by chapters to the Arkansas Jaycees per member. 2009 Annual Meeting Details

The 2009 Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Junior Chamber will be on August 21-23, 2009 at the Holiday Inn in Jonesboro. The election of the 2010 Executive Committee will take place at this meeting and amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws will be offered.

Early bird registration is open through August 7 and is $60.00. After the Seventh, registration will be $65.00. Registration is available online and you can either pay by credit card/PayPal, mail a check, or pay at the door. Please register online here.

Lodging can be arranged by calling the Holiday Inn at (870) 935-2030 and make sure to mention that you are with the Arkansas Jaycees to receive the discount rate of $79.99 per night.

Arkansas Jaycees Year-End Celebration

The Arkansas Jaycees Year-End Celebration will be held on February 6-8, 2009 in Magnolia. Registration will be $50 per person.

Rooms are blocked under the Arkansas Jaycees name. And can be reserved starting January 1st. We will be staying in the Quality Inn at 411 E. Main Street in Magnolia. The room rate is $68 + applicable taxes and fees.

The Year-End Celebration allows us to celebrate the previous year and usher in the new. Year-End Awards will be presented and the 2009 Executive Committee will be sworn in.

Registration is currently $50 per person but will increase to $65 per person after January 23rd. Please register by visiting http://www.arjaycees.org/yearend/.

2009 Executive Committee Elected

The 2009 Arkansas Jaycees Executive Committee was elected at the Arkansas Jaycees Annual Meeting on November 22 in Conway.

Chad Peterson of Conway was elected 72nd President of the Arkansas Jaycees. Toby Stephens of Magnolia was elected as Individual Development Vice President. Shonna Laws of Jonesboro was elected to serve as Business Development Vice President. Jeff Taylor of Jonesboro was elected to serve as the 2009 Membership Development Vice President. All officers’ terms will begin on January 1st, 2009.

Mid-Year Awards were also announced at the Annual Meeting:

2008 Arkansas Jaycees Annual Meeting

The 2008 Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Junior Chamber will take place on the weekend of November 21-22 in Conway, Arkansas. The meeting will take place at the Comfort Suites on Museum Road.

Early registration will be $50 per person with late registration of $65 after November 8th. Please register here.
